About Bara Hom Subdistrict
Bara Hom (บาราโหม), often written Barahom, is a coastal subdistrict of Mueang Pattani. Its community history is associated with the former Pattani trading port, while the wider tambon contains living communities rather than a single archaeological enclosure.
The Department of Agricultural Extension's community-tourism account describes local batik, food and boat activities around fishing livelihoods and Pattani Bay's mangroves. The Fine Arts Department also identifies the historic Khlong Pa Re waterway in Ban Pa Re, Village 2, linking local canals with the bay.
