Bo Yang (บ่อยาง) is the urban subdistrict at the heart of Songkhla city. Its historic communities reflect maritime trade and the meeting of Thai, Chinese and Muslim traditions in the narrow land between Songkhla Lake and the Gulf of Thailand.
Nakhon Nok, Nakhon Nai and Nang Ngam streets provide a useful focus for exploring the old town. The lakefront Hub Ho Hin red mill and the City Pillar Shrine are separate heritage landmarks in this setting. Bo Yang is the wider administrative destination, so a route to a particular museum, shrine or waterfront building should use that site's own address rather than the tambon reference point.
