Chai Buri (ชัยบุรี) is both a district name and the name of this subdistrict in Surat Thani. Its local plan records ten villages, including Khlong Phang Nuea in Village 10.
The council describes hillier and sloping ground falling towards the east, with rubber and oil palm among the main land uses. Khlong Trom is an important waterway through the area.
