Hua Khao (ตำบลหัวเขา) is a subdistrict in Singhanakhon District, Songkhla. Its historical setting is connected with the old port settlement on the western side of the Songkhla Lake mouth, before the city developed across the water.
Recent provincial tourism reporting identifies ancient gun-fort sites and Khao Daeng viewpoint in Hua Khao during heritage-trail assessment. The wider Singhanakhon municipal history describes overseas trading connections and includes Hua Khao among its constituent administrative areas. The historic sites remain distinct locations within the tambon.
Check current heritage-site access and any organised trail arrangements with the responsible authority. A September 2026 route assessment does not establish a permanently open signed route. Use the actual fort or viewpoint entrance and avoid climbing or disturbing historic fabric.
