Huai Nam Khao (ห้วยน้ำขาว) is a subdistrict of Khlong Thom in Krabi. The Department of Mineral Resources places Khlong Thom's saline hot springs in Village 8, within the Khlong Bang Phueng–Khlong Pho mangrove setting, managed locally by the municipality.
The northern road approach towards Ko Lanta also connects with Huai Nam Khao at Ban Thung Samet, according to neighbouring Khlong Yang's geographical profile. These are distinct localities within the tambon. The spring site has its own entrance and management arrangements; its name, water characteristics or visiting rules do not describe the entire administrative area.
