Kamphaeng (กำแพง) is a subdistrict of La-ngu District in Satun. It is a geographic area distinct from Kamphaeng Mueang Mai Municipality and from other Thai subdistricts sharing the same name.
The municipality's area profile describes hills and raised ground together with lower western land and mangrove areas. Rice cultivation occupies flatter ground, with rubber and oil palm on higher land. Khlong La-ngu passes through several villages and is important to household and agricultural water use. The tambon therefore extends beyond the compact trading streets associated with the district-town community.
