About Khao Khao Subdistrict
Khao Khao (เขาขาว), also written Khao Khaw, is a subdistrict north of La-ngu's district centre in Satun. It is separate from other tambon of the same name in Trang and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The local authority describes mainly lowland terrain with some higher ground, including the Ban Bo Hin area. Its profile identifies Khlong La-ngu flowing from Nam Phut through Villages 4–7. Local history associates the subdistrict's name with a conspicuous pale cliff on a hill; that naming tradition is distinct from current visitor access to the site.
For a local visit, obtain the specific village and meeting point. Lowland roads and hill approaches require different directions, and conditions should be checked following prolonged rain. Permission for a temple, hillside or farm visit must come from the relevant caretaker or landholder.
