Khao Than (เขาถ่าน) is a subdistrict of Tha Chang in Surat Thani. The official tourism directory identifies a natural hot-spring locality at Than Nam Ron monastery in Village 1, within the district's coastal landscape.
Health-service locality records also identify Bang Nam Chuet, Rai Prung, Nam Phu, Nong Dun and Sai Yai as communities within the tambon. The monastery and spring are individual sites with their own access arrangements; their conditions and opening information do not apply across Khao Than. This administrative area should not be confused with similarly named villages elsewhere.
