About Khao Ya Subdistrict
Khao Ya (เขาย่า) is a subdistrict of Si Banphot District, Phatthalung. Its local health-fund plan describes mainly low-lying land with some higher foothill plains, rather than a wholly mountainous area.
Khao Pu lies to the west, Tapaen to the south, and the Don Sai and Chamuang sides of Khuan Khanun to the east. Named communities in the plan include Samnak Prang, Saphan Yang, Ban Muang and Wang Bak.
The administrative area is distinct from the Khao Pu–Khao Ya National Park, which extends across a much larger region. Use the village or official park entrance name for a journey; the tambon reference is not the location of every foothill settlement or forest access point.
