About Khlong Khian Subdistrict
Khlong Khian (ตำบลคลองเคียน) is a subdistrict in Takua Thung District, Phang Nga, on the western side of Phang Nga Bay. Its council describes hill slopes meeting the coastal plain.
The local history identifies eight villages, including Khlong Khian and Hin Rom, with farming and fishing associated with settlement. It attributes the tambon's name to takhian trees formerly growing near the channel, a local naming tradition. Provincial fisheries records independently locate the Hin Rom landing within Khlong Khian.
Choose the actual village or landing before travelling. Working fishing waterfronts and tourist boat departures can have different access arrangements, and historic settlement accounts do not establish present routes or schedules. Check boat services and weather directly; the administrative point is not a pier.
