About Ko Mak

The island lies between the Ko Chang and Ko Kut areas in the eastern Gulf. Ao Suan Yai and Ao Phra face the northwestern side, while Ao Kao is a principal southwestern beach area and Laem Son lies towards the east. Villages, plantations and smaller lanes form an important part of the landscape beyond the beaches. The physical island is distinct from Ko Mak Subdistrict, which also includes surrounding islands.

Book a crossing to the pier that serves your accommodation and confirm the onward transfer. Cycling offers a way to explore the settled interior, subject to heat and local road conditions. Ko Kham, Ko Kradat and the Rang islands are possible separate boat outings; they require their own access and weather checks. Confirm the current boat service and your return connection rather than relying on an old seasonal timetable.
