About Laem Sai Subdistrict
Laem Sai (แหลมทราย) is a subdistrict of Lang Suan District in Chumphon. Its local authority places much of the area's historical settlement beside the Lang Suan River.
The council's account links the name to sand carried by floodwater and deposited as projecting riverbanks or bars. Households settled around these raised areas, giving the locality its descriptive name.
Laem Sai is part of the older administrative landscape around Lang Suan, rather than a single beach or sandy headland attraction. Neighbouring Pak Nam lies towards the river mouth, while the broader tambon covers village communities along the river. A village or specific-site address gives a more useful destination than the general map reference.
