Lam Kaen (ลำแก่น) is a subdistrict of Thai Mueang in Phangnga. Official geological locality records identify six village communities: Lam Ru, Khao Lak, Lam Kaen, Tha Din Daeng, Thap Lamu and Don Chan.
These names help separate addresses within a broader administrative area from the wider Khao Lak tourism region. National-park information also includes land in Lam Kaen within the multi-part Khao Lampi–Hat Thai Mueang protected landscape. That does not make the tambon's reference coordinate a park entrance; select the actual village, shore location or visitor access point for a journey.
