Pa Phayom (ป่าพะยอม) is both a district name and the name of this particular subdistrict in Phatthalung. The tambon is a smaller administrative area; it should not be used as a substitute for the district's full boundary.
The Anthropology Centre's account of Ban Pa Phayom describes the community around Wat Pa Phayom and traditions associated with the Phor Than Ta Bot Buddha image. It also records farming on a mixture of higher and lower ground, with Khlong Pa Phayom important to agricultural water use. Local religious stories should be understood as community traditions rather than established historical dates.
For a temple or community visit, choose the actual entrance and observe local guidance. Farm plots and learning activities need separate arrangements. Use the village or institution in the final address to avoid confusion with district-level services elsewhere.
