About Pak Khlong Subdistrict
Pak Khlong (ตำบลปากคลอง) is a subdistrict of Pathio District, Chumphon, on the Gulf side of the province. Government and university material identifies Thung Maha Bay with this tambon.
The Marine Department's July 2026 reporting discusses Khlong Pathio in Pak Khlong and its use by fishing boats travelling between local communities and the sea. Research on Thung Maha describes an inhabited coastal landscape around the bay rather than one single beach entrance. Khao Chai Rat lies to the west of Pak Khlong.
Choose a particular village, bay access or agreed landing before travelling. The canal dredging discussed in 2026 was a proposal for a subsequent budget year, not evidence that works were completed or that a passenger service operates. Fishing access and private waterfronts need local confirmation.
