Phunphin (ตำบลพุนพิน) is a subdistrict in Phunphin District, Surat Thani. District education records identify Khlong Phunphin passing through this tambon after branching from the Tapi–Phum Duang river junction.
The channel continues through Si Wichai and Li Let towards Ban Don Bay, placing Phunphin within the district's river and estuary landscape. The tambon has its own subdistrict administration, whose published address is in village 1. Tha Kham, rather than this entire tambon, is identified as the district's main town and market area.
