About Si Wichai Subdistrict
Si Wichai (ศรีวิชัย) is a subdistrict in Phunphin District, Surat Thani. Its local development plan describes low-lying land crossed by Khlong Phunphin, a branch of the Tapi River, with some foothill terrain.
The Khao Si Wichai archaeological site is recorded at Ban Hua Khao in Village 1. It represents a specific heritage location within the wider tambon rather than the administrative area's entire extent.
The subdistrict adjoins Li Let and Tha Khoei to the north, Tha Kham to the south and communities towards the Mueang Surat Thani side to the east. Distinguish the tambon, the archaeological hill and the broader Srivijaya historical tradition when planning a visit or researching an address.
