Tako (ตะโก) is a subdistrict of Thung Tako in Chumphon Province. The local authority describes high terrain in the west descending towards lower eastern land, with a mixture of hills, plains and wet ground.
Khlong Phrao runs through several village areas, while Khlong Krut, Khlong Chon and Khlong Tako provide other local waterway references. The authority also identifies mangrove and peat-related environments in parts of Villages 6, 9 and 12. The tambon contains fourteen villages, as corroborated by the police's 2026 jurisdiction information; it is distinct from both the wider district and the coastal Pak Tako subdistrict.
