About Talo Maena Subdistrict
Talo Maena (ตะโละแมะนา) is a subdistrict in the western part of Thung Yang Daeng District, Pattani. Land Development Department mapping describes mainly higher ground, with flatter and rolling areas and hills rising around 100–200 metres.
Its four villages are Luk Mai Phai, Lae Wae, Talo Maena and Talo Nibong. Khlong Phru Lae and Khlong Yang Daeng are identified local waterways. Neighbouring Nam Dam and Phithen and the Raman side of Yala help establish its position.
A cultural-encyclopedia account connects the district name Thung Yang Daeng with an old open field and yang daeng trees in this area. This is historical place-name context, not a guarantee that a particular tree or marked visitor site can be found today.
