Tha Chang (ท่าฉาง) is a subdistrict of the identically named district in Surat Thani. The agricultural office's 2026 framework describes plains and low ground sloping eastwards along Khlong Tha Chang towards the Gulf coast.
Its villages include Tha Chang, Tha Khoei, Khachathan, Tha Phikun and Khlong Khut. The local authority identifies mangroves at Ban Tha Phikun and coastal fishing and aquaculture in several communities. Municipal and non-municipal service areas occupy different parts of the tambon, so neither the town boundary nor the whole district is interchangeable with this administrative destination.
