Tha Khoei (ท่าเคย) is a subdistrict of Tha Chang in Surat Thani. University research places it among the district's lowland farming areas and also among its eastern tambons adjoining the Bandon Bay coastal environment.
Department of Agriculture research includes parts of Tha Khoei in the Ban Thung Ao watermelon-producing area, a production landscape shared with nearby tambons in Phunphin. That farming region is broader than a single village or administrative boundary. Tha Khoei in Tha Chang should be distinguished from the identically named tambon in Suan Phueng, Ratchaburi.
