Tha Taphao (ท่าตะเภา) belongs to Mueang Chumphon District. Current municipal history identifies Ban Tha Taphao as the location of present-day Chumphon town beside the Tha Taphao River, with early dense settlement along Paraminthra Mankha Road. It names Wat Chumphon Rangsan and Wat Suban Nimit within the town historical account. Municipal documentation confirms that the whole Tha Taphao tambon lies inside Chumphon city, whose boundary also includes parts of neighbouring tambons.
Use the street and specific hotel, station, temple or institution entrance for the final journey in town. Tha Taphao tambon is smaller than the whole city service area. Its administrative reference point does not locate every transport terminal or heritage destination.
