Wang Mai (วังใหม่) belongs to Mueang Chumphon District, distinct from same-named tambons elsewhere in Thailand. The current municipal site identifies its premises in village 5, while provincial community records locate Wat Nam Phut in village 3 and the Tha Mai Lai school and temple locality in village 5. Government village-address records also identify Na Sae in village 4. These are separate settlements within the administrative area, rather than one town-centre address.
Use the specific village and institution for the final approach from Chumphon. A place mentioned in a rail feasibility study should not be assumed to have an operating station. The geographic reference centre is separate from the municipal office, temple or school entrance.
