About Yan Yao Subdistrict
Yan Yao (ย่านยาว) is a subdistrict of Khiri Rat Nikhom in Surat Thani. A government-supported university project describes lowland ground sloping north towards the Phum Duang, with the Na Rahu and Daeng Ram hill ranges in the central area.
The project works with local growers on improving organic turmeric production alongside an established rubber and oil-palm farming landscape. This is an agricultural community initiative rather than a visitor farm or a claim about medicinal benefits.
