About A Song Subdistrict

A Song (อาซ่อง), also written A-song, is a subdistrict of Raman District in Yala. Its village communities include Ban Sato in Moo 5, locally called Sue To. The Sai Buri River forms an important part of the setting, with lowland fields and settled areas linked by village roads.

The Anthropology Centre's account of Ban Sato describes rice cultivation, some rubber growing and a settlement history associated with a large santol tree. Homes, fields and the main road form different parts of the community landscape. These details describe one village within A Song and should not be treated as a complete boundary description for the tambon.

For an arranged household, farming or cultural visit, agree the village and meeting point with your host. River-side fields are working land, and local access can change with rainfall. Ask before entering agricultural plots or photographing community activities, and confirm the return journey rather than relying on the administrative map point.
