Bang Hin (บางหิน) is a subdistrict of Kapoe in Ranong. Its official development strategy describes predominantly mountainous and elevated terrain with several headwater streams, including Khlong Cha Khli and Khlong Takhian Ngam.
The Anthropology Centre's field account of Ban Bang Hin describes eastern slopes used for rubber and oil palm, descending towards Kapoe Bay, where fishing supports the coastal community. Those details concern a particular village within the wider tambon. Bang Hin includes both inland and bay-facing settings; it should not be reduced to one harbour or a single coastal viewpoint.
