About Betong Subdistrict

Betong (ตำบลเบตง) is a subdistrict in Betong District, Yala, covering the town-centre area near Thailand's border with Malaysia. It is one administrative part of the wider district, which also includes separate rural tambons and mountain destinations.

The municipal visitor directory identifies the clock tower, Betong Mongkhonrit Tunnel, city museum and Suan Sut Sayam park as central landmarks. Chinese shrines and the central mosque reflect the town's varied cultural life. These urban sites offer a different experience from attractions elsewhere in Betong District; an address described simply as Betong may therefore need clarification.

Use the landmark or street address when arranging a town visit. Confirm opening arrangements separately for the museum, religious sites and other venues. Border crossings and onward travel into Malaysia have their own current requirements; the subdistrict map point is a geographic reference rather than an immigration checkpoint.
