About Lahan Subdistrict
Lahan (ตำบลละหาร) is a subdistrict in Yi-ngo District, Narathiwat, distinct from places of the same name in other Thai provinces. Official cultural-environment records identify Ban Lahan as an older agricultural community with a continuing Malay Muslim cultural setting.
Khun Lahan Local Museum is a community-led cultural institution associated with Ban Kadeng in village 7. Provincial planning also identifies the Quran heritage museum and learning centre in the subdistrict. These are separate institutions with their own collections and visiting arrangements; their heritage value does not imply that every collection is open without notice.
