About Sawo Subdistrict
Sawo (ตำบลสาวอ) is a subdistrict in Rueso District, Narathiwat. It lies along the provincial interface with Raman District in Yala: its authority lists Talo Halo and Balo on the northern and western sides, with Samakkhi and Rueso Ok on the Narathiwat side.
The local authority describes rubber cultivation and fruit growing, including rambutan, durian and mangosteen, as important livelihoods. Its history explains Sawo through a local Malay-language association with a python, a place-name tradition connected with the area's earlier forested landscape. This Sawo is distinct from Lubo Sawo in Bacho District.
For village visits, give the full Rueso District address and the village name so that the two similarly named subdistricts are not confused. The authority's office is listed in village 2. Markets, farms and community facilities have their own arrangements; there is no single subdistrict admission ticket or opening schedule.
