The subdistrict authority's disaster-management plan places Kalong and Bannang Sata District in Yala on its western side, with Chanae District to the south.
The plan records outlying communities including Ban I No, Ai Yaeng, Panan, Ai Tue Ngo and other villages. Separately, Si Sakhon municipality's profile describes its own smaller service area as including parts of both Si Sakhon and Sa Ko subdistricts.
