About Bunka Fashion School

Bunka Fashion School teaches fashion design and garment-making on the third floor of the Waseda building in Bangkok’s Yan Nawa district. Its Thai school was established in 2005 through cooperation between Bunka and Saha Group. The course catalogue spans foundation fashion knowledge, illustration, pattern-making, sewing and advanced garment techniques. Learners can build a set of relevant subjects or discuss private tuition in Thai or English. Contact the school to match your experience and goals to a current class. Fashion training routes

Fashion Creation

A foundation in materials, colour, fashion drawing and concept development, combined with pattern-making and sewing. Students develop designs into garments and portfolio work.

Fashion Professional

Further study builds on Fashion Creation with advanced draping, three-dimensional pattern work, collection development and textile/apparel industry knowledge. Ask the school which previous subjects are required.

Garment Creation and Fashion Design

Garment Creation concentrates on patterns, sewing, draping and industrial grading. Fashion Design develops visual communication, clothing knowledge and collection/portfolio design. Menswear is also listed in the programme catalogue.

Study format and private lessons

Individual subjects

The school uses a credit-based subject system, allowing learners to select relevant skills rather than assuming that every course has the same duration. Subject certificates depend on completing the work and passing assessment.

Thai or English private tuition

Private lessons can be tailored to the learner’s goals. The published rate is THB 1,000 per hour in Thai or THB 1,200 per hour in English. Confirm the total hours, materials and available appointment times before booking.

Changing a private lesson

The published private-course policy asks for at least two days’ notice to postpone a lesson. Missed lessons or late cancellations may count as a scheduled lesson; read the current terms before paying.

Choosing and booking a course

Discuss the right starting point

Contact admissions with your interests, previous experience and preferred language. The current catalogue includes options for beginners, advanced learners and people preparing fashion portfolios; confirm the level and next start date for your chosen subject.

Course availability and payments

Group courses may be changed or cancelled if minimum enrolment is not met. The published terms provide for a tuition refund if the school cannot run the course, while a learner’s inability to attend can leave paid tuition or a reservation fee non-refundable. Ask for the applicable written terms and an itemised quote.
