Complete official pre-arrival steps
Use only the official Thailand Digital Arrival Card site if the process applies to your journey. Save confirmation and the address of your first accommodation. Check passport validity, onward-travel evidence and airline requirements early enough to correct a problem.
Prepare health and medicines
Buy insurance that fits the activities and destinations in your plan, and read exclusions for motorcycles, diving and pre-existing conditions. Carry prescription medicines in original packaging with supporting documents. Controlled medicines can require advance permission from Thai FDA.
Make the first day resilient
Keep offline copies of reservations, a backup payment method, a working phone plan and the name and address of your accommodation in Thai or on a map. Expect heat and jet lag. Avoid scheduling a tight connection or demanding road journey immediately after a long flight.
