About Khao Niphan Subdistrict
Khao Niphan (ตำบลเขานิพันธ์) is a subdistrict in Wiang Sa District, Surat Thani. Municipal history records its formation from parts of Thung Luang and Khlong Chanuan.
The council describes predominantly higher ground suited to rubber plantations, with lower areas supporting rice and mixed agriculture. It identifies Khao Tham Pla among natural features retained for conservation, including cave formations. The place name refers to one of the local hills around which settlement developed, rather than the whole district.
Use a village or named destination when travelling. A municipal inventory of cave scenery does not establish current public access, lighting, guides or admission arrangements at a cave. Confirm those details locally and distinguish the tambon's representative centre from any actual cave entrance.
