Khao Phai Viewpoint

Khao Phai Viewpoint, จุดชมวิวเขาไผ่, is a mapped hilltop viewing point in Pong, Bang Lamung, east of Pattaya. Its reference is V2V6+HG. The pin identifies the viewpoint area rather than a surveyed trailhead or vehicle entrance. Peter Grain’s photograph, captured and listed in June 2026, shows the view over green hills and vegetation towards a distant built-up plain, with a Thai flag in the foreground. The exact gallery also shows a rocky summit setting. These photographs do not establish a maintained path or a permitted driving route. Check the current permitted approach and local forestry notices before travelling. A report reproduced in the Royal Forest Department’s June 2021 press digest stated that visits at Khao Phai were limited to sightseeing and that overnight camping was prohibited. This is dated access information, so confirm the rules currently posted at the site rather than assuming camping permission from visitor photographs. Keep to permitted routes, leave the vegetation and rocks undisturbed, and take litter out. Current trail condition, distance, elevation gain, parking, toilets, staffed hours and step-free access were not independently verified. A direct site telephone was not established.
