About Ko Kho Khao Subdistrict

Ko Kho Khao (ตำบลเกาะคอเขา) is a subdistrict in Takua Pa District, Phang Nga. The local authority identifies Mueang Mai, Nok Na, Pak Ko, Thung Tuek and Bang Niang as its five villages.

Prince of Songkla University's local-information account describes an island at the Takua Pa estuary, with mangroves on its eastern side, an Andaman-facing western coast and low northern hills. Thung Tuek is associated with archaeological remains and evidence of older maritime trade; this specific heritage locality does not encompass the whole tambon.

Confirm the current crossing, landing and onward village destination before travel. Archaeological and mangrove areas have their own access arrangements, and an island-wide map reference does not identify a public trail, ferry entrance or staffed heritage site.
