About Ko Panyi Subdistrict
Ko Panyi (ตำบลเกาะปันหยี) is a subdistrict in Mueang Phang Nga District, Phang Nga. Its council identifies Tha Dan, Ko Panyi, Ko Mai Phai and Ko Mak Noi as four distinct villages.
Much of the administrative area lies in Phang Nga Bay and its mangrove landscape. The council explicitly states that its office is on the mainland at Tha Dan, while the island communities have separate water approaches. November 2025 community-development reporting independently confirms this four-village structure.
Choose the exact island, village or mainland office for a journey. The well-known Ko Panyi visitor settlement is village 2, rather than the whole tambon. Boat routes, tides and protected-area access need current confirmation; the administrative reference point should not be used as a boarding pier.
