About Ko Yao Noi
Ko Yao Noi is the smaller of the two principal Ko Yao islands between Phuket and Krabi, within Phang Nga Province. The island belongs to Ko Yao Noi Subdistrict, while Ko Yao District also includes Ko Yao Yai and other islands.
Rice growing, fishing and batik traditions add interest beyond the beaches. Coastal villages and agricultural land remain part of the island's identity, and the east-facing coast looks towards the limestone scenery of Phang Nga Bay.
Arrive by passenger boat from an appropriate mainland or island pier, then arrange onward transport to the correct village or accommodation. Check the exact pier used by your service: tickets naming Ko Yao can refer to different islands and landings.
Allow time to explore at a local pace and arrange community activities through a host or local provider. Respect village and religious spaces away from beach areas, and confirm current boat connections before making a tight onward flight or ferry connection.
