About Li Phang Subdistrict
Li Phang (ลิพัง) is a subdistrict of Palian District, Trang. Its council describes land falling from the Banthat range towards lower ground and mangroves on the Andaman side.
Its seven villages include Li Phang, Thung Panan, Tha Khlong, Khlong Rae, Tha Khao, Hin Chok and Thang Sai. The council's place-name account connects Li Phang with the elephant Mali Phang; this is local legend rather than an established historical event.
The SAC community register documents Mani people living within the wider area. Their settlements are homes, not an unrestricted visitor attraction. Arrange any community contact respectfully through local hosts, and use the intended village or facility address rather than the general administrative point.
