About this place

Chulalongkorn University’s Art and Culture Building houses the Office of Art and Culture, the first-floor Nitas-Stan exhibition hall and CU Music Hall. Formerly known as Chemi 1, the building dates from 1937 according to the university’s exhibition-hall history. Nitas-Stan hosts rotating exhibitions and publishes free admission, Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00, closed weekends and public holidays. CU Music Hall follows an event programme; check the particular performance’s time and admission arrangements. These schedules differ from the office’s Google-listed Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 hours. For office enquiries, contact 02 218 3621, 099 328 1616 or cuartculture@chula.ac.th. Nitas-Stan lists 02 218 3645–6. The university gives the postal address as 254 Phaya Thai Road, Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330. For campus directions, use the marked building rather than the university’s general postal address. The exterior photograph is by Unilamp, published with its lighting-study report on 26 February 2026. It shows a lighting mock-up, not a guarantee of nightly illumination or after-hours entry. The adjacent Chula Museum is a separate venue with its own visiting hours.
