About Padang Besar Subdistrict
Padang Besar (ปาดังเบซาร์), code 901007, belongs to Sadao District, Songkhla. Local-government history records its separation from Thung Mo in 1984. Its border setting links the Thai settlement with a distinct Malaysian Padang Besar in Perlis; addresses on the two sides are not interchangeable. Institutional border-tourism research also treats it as a cross-border locality, while the tambon remains wider than a checkpoint, station or commercial premises.
Confirm whether the destination is on the Thai or Malaysian side and use the exact station, checkpoint or street address. Check current border and transport requirements with the relevant authorities or operator before travelling. The administrative point does not identify a checkpoint entrance or confirm any crossing hours.
