Pattaya Beach is the central city’s main sandy bay, running beside Beach Road with a seafront promenade and a busy urban backdrop.

About Pattaya Beach

Pattaya Beach, หาดพัทยา, is the main beach of central Pattaya. Thailand’s environmental-site inventory and the Tourism Authority of Thailand describe a shoreline of roughly three kilometres with a road running beside it. The promenade connects the central beachfront, with hotels, restaurants and shops across Beach Road. The beach is used for shore walks, relaxing beside the bay and water-based activities offered by local operators. The northern section is described by TAT as generally quieter than the busier central and southern sections; actual crowding varies with events, weekends and season. Confirm the precise meeting point when arranging any activity along this long shoreline. The retained pin is a central beach reference. Its map profile also contains a beach-chair plot address and opening window; those do not establish hours for the whole beach. The reviewed April 2019 archive photograph shows the sandy foreshore and boats offshore, with the waterfront layout and boat activity subject to change. Check local signs, warning flags, sea conditions and designated activity areas before entering the water. Confirm current charges, facilities and any assistance needs with the relevant operator or locally at your chosen access point. The city beach is distinct from Jomtien Beach and the offshore beaches of Ko Lan.
