About Phru Tiao Subdistrict
Phru Tiao (พรุเตียว) is a subdistrict of Khao Phanom in Krabi. The Land Development Department links its name with local tiao trees, particularly in headwater wetland remembered as Pa Phru Tiao.
The Community Development Department places the tambon east of the district centre along the Khao Phanom–Thung Yai road, Highway 415, and describes low hills alternating with lowlands used for rubber, oil palm and upland rice. This administrative tambon is distinct from the village also named Phru Tiao in Phela, Khlong Thom District.
