The former Satri Julanak School is part of Nang Loeng’s network of community and creative spaces. Its classrooms and shared spaces have outlived the school’s teaching role: Urban Studies Lab has worked from the former school, while community-led cultural projects have brought new uses to the site.
In 2026, Rae-Nang and Nang Loeng Community Lab developed a volunteer-led cinema project here, with workshops for emerging film curators and a cooperative, pay-as-you-can screening model. Check the organiser’s latest announcements for individual events before travelling.
Community cinema
Rae-Nang’s 2026 programme combined online talks, in-person workshops and opportunities for emerging curators to develop film events. Screenings depend on the individual programme; this is not a conventional daily cinema.
Visiting for an event
Use the event announcement for entry arrangements and timings. Bangkok 1899 and FREC are neighbouring organisations within the wider site; their programmes and opening hours should not be treated as the former school’s own timetable.
