About Takuk Tai Subdistrict
Takuk Tai (ตะกุกใต้) is a subdistrict in Vibhavadi District, Surat Thani. The district agricultural office's 2026 planning record identifies fourteen administrative villages.
Local community research describes plains and foothill land used for rubber, oil palm, lime and fruit cultivation. Village communities are spread across this working rural landscape rather than concentrated at one visitor centre.
Takuk Tai and neighbouring Takuk Nuea were separated from Khiri Rat Nikhom to form Vibhavadi minor district in 1992; the district received full status in 2007. Historical records may therefore use the earlier parent district. For a specific trip, confirm the village and destination rather than relying on the general tambon reference point.
