About Tha Muang Subdistrict

Tha Muang (ตำบลท่าม่วง) is a subdistrict in Thepha District, Songkhla. University research and district agricultural records identify a broad fourteen-village administrative area, distinct from Tha Muang in Kanchanaburi and other provinces.

The local settlement account describes older communities such as Tha Muang, Khuan Ran, Kra An and Na Chuak, and the later Thepha self-help settlement scheme. It links the place name to a landing by a mango tree used when agricultural produce travelled by river. This is an attributed local naming tradition, not a surviving public pier location.

Specify Thepha and Songkhla when arranging a journey. Confirm a farm, institution or village address individually; historic trading accounts and settlement projects do not establish current transport services or visitor facilities at the tambon's reference point.
