About Thung Pho Subdistrict

Thung Pho (ทุ่งพอ) is a subdistrict in Saba Yoi District, Songkhla. Provincial labour-network records identify eight villages, including Thung Pho, Khok Tok, Khok Ok and Mo La Tae.

The local profile describes plains crossed by canals and streams, with land used for rubber and fruit cultivation. Durian, longkong, langsat and rambutan are among the recorded crops.

Accounts of the name connect thung with open fields and pho with locally important trees or palms; the source records more than one explanation. This is the Songkhla tambon, distinct from similarly named subdistricts in Phichit, Prachin Buri, Uthai Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
