About this place

Vaikuntha Thepyasathan Throne Hall (พระที่นั่งไวกูณฐเทพยสถาน) is one of the historic halls of Phaya Thai Palace on Ratchawithi Road. It belongs to the palace complex within the Phramongkutklao Hospital area, rather than being a separate commercial museum. The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Osotho magazine describes its Romanesque architecture and a former royal bedchamber with ceiling paintings executed in fresco secco. The hall also housed a radio broadcasting station in 1930. Nearby Piman Chakri and Thewarat Sapharom are different halls within the same palace complex. Confirm current palace tours, admission arrangements and access to this particular hall before travelling. The map’s 24-hour label does not establish round-the-clock public entry to the historic interiors. Current hall-specific tour times and charges are not published here.
