About Wat Nong Chab Tao
Wat Nong Chab Tao (วัดหนองจับเต่า) is a Buddhist temple at 81 Moo 5 in Na Chom Thian, Sattahip. The Ministry of Culture records its establishment in 1937 following a community donation of land, with consecrated temple boundaries granted in 1953. It remains a place of worship as well as a stop for visitors interested in religious art.
Its white ordination hall has detailed decorative work and paired naga figures around the exterior. A large Phaya Tao Ruean turtle shrine stands beside the hall, with other devotional figures around the grounds. Visitors come to pay respects and observe local devotional traditions; follow the temple’s instructions for any ritual or offering.
Wear respectful clothing, remove shoes where signs require and keep clear of worshippers or ceremonies. Ask permission before entering a hall or taking photographs during religious activity. If steps, heat or walking distance could affect your visit, check the particular route and entrance locally.
The visitor information establishes the temple and its features but does not provide a dependable current timetable for every building. Confirm hall access, ceremony arrangements and any donation or group-visit expectations before a special visit. Use the exact temple pin rather than the similarly named school.
