CHARRAS Bhawan Hotel and Residences (จรัสภาวัน) occupies a restored family beach estate at Khao Tao, in Nong Kae south of central Hua Hin. Named after Khun Yaa Charras Sanidvongs Na Ayudhaya, it retains the character of a seaside home shared by several generations, with four villa buildings and accommodation designed around living space for families and small groups. The choice of suite matters here: Taweevadh and Cagney contain separately bookable suites, de Jong is arranged over two floors, and Valaya has its own garden and swimming pool. The other villa types feature terrace Jacuzzis rather than a private swimming pool. PAWAN serves hotel guests and outside diners, while the main pool and Activities Station provide a separate base for swimming and beach recreation. Book the exact villa or suite layout that suits your group, especially if ground-floor bedrooms, a private pool or a whole-building stay is important. Use the Khao Tao address rather than central Hua Hin when arranging arrival. Discuss parking, step-free routes and pet arrangements with reservations before selecting a suite.
Finding the right villa
The buildings differ in layout, position and the way groups can occupy them.
Taweevadh
Four separate 140 m² two-bedroom suites share the original villa building. Each has a living room, pantry, two bathrooms and a terrace Jacuzzi; the hotel also offers one-bedroom configurations and whole-building enquiries.
Cagney
Canary Suite downstairs and Dandy Suite upstairs each provide 183 m², two bedrooms and a terrace Jacuzzi. The upper suite has an especially large master bedroom and a sea-view balcony.
De Jong
This 178 m² two-bedroom villa has its living room and pantry downstairs and the master bedroom upstairs, with a balcony Jacuzzi facing the main pool and coast.
Valaya
A 189 m² two-bedroom villa in the garden and freshwater-pond area, with its own swimming pool and deck. Choose this option when a private pool matters more than a beachfront-building position.
Dining, activities and occasions
PAWAN Restaurant
Thai fusion cooking draws on family recipes and dishes from the family’s travels. It welcomes outside diners as well as hotel guests and serves daily from 07:00 to 22:00; its upper floor includes the Red Room for private dining.
Equipment for resident guests
The Activities Station offers complimentary bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards, beach toys and beach sports equipment to in-house guests. Ask the Villa Host for assistance; beach horse riding carries an additional charge.
Hands-on classes
The hotel advertises Thai cooking classes at THB 2,600 per person and cocktail classes at THB 1,900 per person. Both require at least two days’ advance reservation; confirm the current price and available session when booking.
Weddings and gatherings
Thai and Western wedding packages are available by enquiry. Taweevadh’s courtyard can host resident gatherings of up to 40 people at an additional cost, while PAWAN handles small private events.

Yes. Taweevadh is divided into four suites and Cagney into two. Tell reservations your group size and preferred bedroom arrangement so the booking covers the intended space.
What should I check if someone in my group cannot use stairs?
Ask for the precise route from arrival to the bedroom, bathroom, restaurant and pool. Cagney and Taweevadh include upper-floor suites, and de Jong has its master bedroom upstairs; a ground-floor label alone does not establish step-free access.
How far ahead should I reserve a private candlelight dinner?
The hotel asks for at least one day’s advance reservation for its beachfront candlelight dinner. Dietary requirements and any weather-dependent arrangements should be agreed with the dining team.
