A landmark on the riverside skyline

Asiatique Sky is the large observation wheel on the Chao Phraya side of Asiatique The Riverfront. Both the precinct and its owner identify the named wheel as a 60-metre physical landmark. Its scale and position make it a recognisable part of the modern riverside skyline, with views over the river and surrounding city during a ride. The visitor-information site linked by Asiatique describes air-conditioned cabins, a published capacity of up to eight people per cabin and an approximately 20-minute ride. This listing represents the wheel itself. The wider market, other rides, restaurants and ticket sellers have separate operating arrangements and are not included automatically in a wheel ticket.

The wheel and its setting

A different view of the riverfront

The ride looks over both banks of the Chao Phraya and the surrounding Asiatique precinct. Its position beside the warehouses makes the wheel an easily recognisable point in the contemporary riverfront setting.

Combine the ride with the precinct

Asiatique separately provides shops, restaurants, riverfront walking areas and other attractions. Food, shopping, shows and other rides are separate purchases; entering the wider precinct is not the same as holding a wheel ticket.

Tickets and boarding conditions

Choose the correct ticket category

The dedicated ticket page lists booth prices of THB 600 for guests 120 cm and above, 300 for children below 120 cm, and 400 for visitors aged 60+. These are published category conditions; children under 12 must also be accompanied by an adult.

Compare booth and online prices

Online bookings add 10% to the advertised booth rate and include Fast Track access, with a digital ticket sent by email. The dedicated page notes that prices can vary between platforms. Read the selected seller’s date, amendment and cancellation terms before purchase.

Keep the cabin clear

The visitor FAQ prohibits food and drinks on the wheel. The access page says ordinary pets are not accepted, while service animals are welcomed. The listed eight-person cabin capacity is not a promise of exclusive use or a private cabin.

Ask for boarding assistance

The linked access page and FAQ invite wheelchair users to ask staff at the ticket booth for help. They do not publish a cabin-door width, wheelchair weight limit or an independently surveyed step-free route, so describe your needs to staff before joining the queue.

Getting to the wheel

BTS and the free shuttle boat

Asiatique publishes a free boat between Sathorn and Asiatique piers from 16:00–23:30, approximately every 25–30 minutes. Use BTS Saphan Taksin Exit 2 for Sathorn Pier and confirm the return boat locally. The boat’s last departure is earlier than the wheel’s advertised midnight close.

Parking and toilets belong to the precinct

Parking is at Asiatique, and the linked wheel access page points visitors to accessible public toilets within the wider complex rather than private wheel toilets. Follow the current precinct signs and ask staff about the route required for your visit.
